"If you want to stay at a lovely Bed and Breakfast in a quiet residential area, very close to all the local amenities and attractions then check out the wonderful Bariseele B&B.
From the moment you arrive Benny the owner will look after you explaining about the beautiful city of Bruges and all it's wonderful museums, shops and restaurants and the many walks you can take to get to know your surroundings. Benny can recommend many splendid restaurants offering good value for money with set menus or for those of you who want to splash out there are lots of high end locations to chose from too. He will be most happy to make a reservation for you. Benny has recently made more upgrades to the lovely bedrooms available. Each room has its own personality which are all maintained to a high standard. but which still come with ensuite facilities, free tea and coffee, free wifi and docking stations and a kitchenette. You have your breakfast served in your room during the week and eat in the main dining room at the weekend. Car parking is available on request subject to availability and you can also hire a bike to explore the surrounding area which is delightful when the weather is fine.
This is a wonderful bed and breakfast very suitable for couples on a romantic break or people who want the convince of a bed and breakfast to come and go as they please (even for a longterm stay). It comes highly recommended. Book early to avoid disappointment. "
BARISEELE GREEN KEY
Bariseele obtained the green key as first B&B in historical center of Bruges. Our guests enjoy the delicious local products, such organic jams and rolls from the traditional bakery.
Eco B&B Bariseele offers luxury with their eco 550 gram/m² towels, Egyptian cotton sheets and eco Pascal Morabito amenities. We do encourage our guests to reduce waste, energy and water, and this without losing comfort. Water you can drink from the tap, you enjoy a Rain shower in all comfort with air bubbles, and if we may ask to turn off lights when leaving the room.
As an engineer, I have tried to innovate my home... having 90% of our lights replaced by energy-saving lamps, installing a green roof for better insulation, replacing all electric gear with A+++ labels, insulating the roof top and all windows equipped with extra insulating glass panes. A step to a greener and cost reducing B&B.
SINCE 1865 A HOME AWAY FROM HOME
In 1865 the family Bariseele started one of the biggest and luxurious hotels in Bruges, next to the Sint Gillis church. Pictures of Bariseele with the English flag showed the importance of tourism in Bruges. In the 1940's just before WOII the hotel stopped its activities, and the building was split up in 3 parts. Only from the 60's the Fevery and de Pauw Families started new Hotels in the room areas. The main building as Bariseele is today, was a private home with local businesses ... such as butcher, bakery, small super market... And in the 80's the building was split up into 5 studios.
In 1996 Paul Asselman bought the Hotel Fevery and together with his family he has been running the Hotel since then. He has brought the Hotel Fevery in the 21st century and obtained many awards: "Best Budget Hotel on tripadvisor", "Sustainable Hotel", "first Eco Hotel in Belgium"....
In 1998 we bought the main building back, as in 2006 Bariseele reopened as a B&B. Many renovations further... B&B Bariseele offers 3 spacious suites.
